RADIO FREQUENCY ENVIRONMENT AREA

Bioinitiative 2012 has just released its 2012 report on January 7, 2013, an update of the 2007 version. It includes approximately 1,800 new studies on biological effects and adverse health effects from electromagnetic fields such as power lines, electrical wiring, appliances, hand-held devices, and from wireless technologies such as cell and cordless phones, cell towers, Wi-Fi, wireless laptops, wireless routers, baby monitors, surveillance systems, and wireless utility meters smart meters. The report has been prepared by 29 authors from 10 countries; ten researchers have medical degrees MDs, twenty-one have PhDs, three have MsC, MA or MPHs. RF color charts can be downloaded as well as 4 links with summaries of hundreds of studies done between 1990 and 2012 on the “free radical damage from both RFR radio frequency radiation and ELF extremely low frequency and a set specific to electro-sensitivity.” http://www.bioinitiative.org/report/research-summaries/Lennart Hardell, MD from Orebro University, Sweden, said, “There is a consistent pattern of increased risk for glioma, a malignant brain tumor, and acoustic neuroma, with use of mobile and cordless phones.” Acoustic neuroma is a slow growing benign tumor of the vestibular cochlear nerve that connects the ear to the brain. As it grows, it can damage other nerves. “Epidemiological evidence shows that radiofrequency should be classified as a human carcinogen.”The topics explored, as evidenced by the abstracts, include damage to DNA and genes, changes in memory, learning, behavior, attention, sleep disruption, insomnia, heat sensitivity, cell damage, cancer, benign tumors, and neurological impairment and diseases such as Alzheimer’s. Human subjects as well as animals and birds were used.

The state medical board in New Mexico is facing accusations that it illegally closed a hearing to potentially discipline abortion practitioner Shelley Sella, who botched an abortion at 35 weeks of pregnancy that landed the woman in the hospital with a ruptured uterus.

Acting on complaints filed by the pro-life groups Operation Rescue and Project Defending Life, the New Mexico Medical Board has filed a Notice of Contemplated Action alleging gross negligence against Sella.

As many as 20 million Americans could lose their employer-provided coverage because of President Obama’s healthcare reform law, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said in a new report Thursday.

The figure represents the worst-case scenario, CBO says, and the law could just as well increase the number of people with employer-based coverage by 3 million in 2019.

The best estimate, subject to a “tremendous amount of uncertainty,” is that about 3 million to 5 million fewer people will obtain coverage through their employer each year from 2019 through 2022.

Antibiotic resistance thick

LONDON (AP) — People traveling to India for medical procedures have brought back to Britain a new gene that allows any bacteria to become a superbug, and scientists are warning this type of drug resistance could soon appear worldwide.

Though already widespread in India, the new superbug gene is being increasingly spotted in Britain and elsewhere. Experts warn the booming medical tourism industries in India and Pakistan could fuel a surge in antibiotic resistance, as patients import dangerous bugs to their home countries.

The superbug gene, which can be swapped between different bacteria to make them resistant to most drugs, has so far been identified in 37 people who returned to the U.K. after undergoing surgery in India or Pakistan.

Post-abortion problems could = lawsuit Charlie Butts – OneNewsNow – 7/25/2010 4:20:00 AMDespite a recent federal court ruling, Nebraska women can file lawsuits for psychological injuries resulting from an abortion. Psychological problems post-abortion have been proven in previous research, but David Reardon of the Stop Forced Abortions Alliance reports that Nebraska women can now rely on the courts for relief, “especially if they feel coerced into abortion or had any of the risk factors predicting psychological problems after abortion, such as negative moral beliefs about the abortion, feeling pressured into the abortion by other people, history of depression, [or] being an adolescent.”
