Civil rights leader, Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Martin Luther King, Jr., appeared on FOX & Friends with Steve Doocy to discuss the Restore the Dream in 2014 project.

After discussing how black Americans are far worse off by several different statistical measures, Doocy asks Dr. King what the plan is to get the black community back on track.

“We actually want to educate the community. We want you to look at the facts, not respond to the fear tactics that we’re experiencing,”Dr. King told Doocy. “I really want to say to that soccer mom, to that single mom, to that struggling family, ‘Don’t panic. Don’t let fear overtake you.’”
