House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday endorsed a movement announced by other congressional Democrats on Wednesday to ratify an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would allow Congress to regulate political speech when it is engaged in by corporations as opposed to individuals.

The First Amendment says in part: “Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press…”

Television networks, newspapers, publishing houses, movie studios and think tanks, as well as political action committees, are usually organized as, or elements of, corporations.

Setting high privacy controls and de-tagging yourself in photos may not be enough to keep potential employers from having concerns about your social media self.

Rather than trying to get around the pesky password protections of Facebook and email accounts, certain government agencies and colleges are cutting straight to the source.

Some extremely inquisitive employers are asking candidates to hand over them their email and Facebook login information when they apply for a job.

In an effort to avoid this situation, the University of North Carolina has instated a policy that forces student athletes to ‘friend’ at least one of their coaches so that they can constantly monitor what the students put on-line.

President Obama has lost the financial support of San Francisco philanthropist Susie Tompkins Buell, one of the Democratic Party’s most generous benefactors, who says the president has “not been vocal enough” on climate change, the San Francisco Chronicle reported on Thursday.
