Unfortunately not. The market for comics is decreasing, and the only way for them to keep making money is to have their biggest characters plastered on everything instead of taking chances with new ideas (because the mentality is “it’s new, no one knows about it, it won’t sell” no matter the quality).I wish this wasn’t the case, because I would love to read the stories of completely original characters, instead of an alternate storyline of a character that’s been around for decades.
